Saturday June 27 we are heading north. First stop will be the Café at Sun City for a delicious breakfast while overlooking the golf course. The Café is located at 1555 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley, at the Sun City Welcome Center. We’ll be breakfasting at the (not) usual time of 8:30.

After breakfast we’re going to Florence via the scenic Highways 77 and 79. There’s shopping at the Prison Outlet Store, Florence Townsite Historic District with over 140 historic buildings listed, Pinal County Historical Museum, McFarland State Historic Park and other shopping in the downtown area.

Eat lunch in Florence or stop at the Cadillac Chaparral Steakhouse on the way back towards Tucson. You’ve driven by many times and probably never stopped. You should. They’ll be open for lunch and dinner on Saturday.

But wait, there’s more. Will Humbarger, Elvis Tribute Artist, will be performing at the Oracle Inn in Oracle on American Avenue. His show starts at 4 pm. There may be a $10 cover charge.

Come out and play with us for the whole day or however long you have.
