This month's IFN takes us to the wild side of Thailand.

www.azcentral.com wrote:Sour. Salty. Sweet. Spicy hot.

Thai food is like no other food on Earth. The remarkable interplay of flavors springs from exotic seasonings - kaffir lime leaf, galangal (Thai ginger), lemon grass, pungent holy basil, nam pla (fermented fish sauce), coconut, chiles - that are the foundation of Thailand's dishes, from soups and salads to curries and stir-fries. A good Thai meal can leave you woozy with delight.

You get an idea of the power of this cuisine at the Wild Thaiger, which is bringing ethnic excitement at wallet-friendly prices to the Central Avenue corridor.

FYI, they've begun setting up for the Fiesta Bowl Parade on Central. The big closures don't start til Thursday evening, but they had the northbound side of Central down to 1 lane from about Indian School up going North when I came home tonight. So just an FYI.

Thanks for the chance to learn how good Thai food can be; we never liked it before. Also enjoyed the opportunity to meet some new members.

Thanks to all and Happy New Year!
