Beautiful Day! Over 500 cars at the show displayed on 26 acres at the country club.
We met new members Dorothy and Rex and their Riley 1.5 (sorry I thought they had a Riley Elf). They also have a new MINI. Here is a picture of their Riley:
Here is a beautiful classic:
The Wedge!
Most understated car at the show:
The classic "T", a car that gets better mileage than 50% of the cars in the USA!
1948 Ford Anglia
Mike looks over the MG's.
What a shine!
At lunch we ran into a gal who was selling her Kawasaki. Her name is Ms. Cooper. Had to take a picture next to Smallville.
A nice 2CV delivery wagon:
On the way to Nogales we passed Wisdom's Restaurant in Tumacacori. And they have a giant chicken out front. Must eat there next year!
D.J., Dave, Barney, Jim, Teri, Marsha, Jon
and Patty at the Arizona Vineyards in Nogales.
The wine was great and very reasonable in price. The outside is funky (old and delapidated) but the inside is kinda neat! We saw them bottling some 2008 red stuff.
In the parking lot they had their own car show going on. A couple of Jag's that only needed a little rubbing compound and some clay bar to get them concourse ready.
We took the back route home through Patagonia, Sonoita and Vail.
I can't stress what a great time we all had and hope those who could not make it will mark their calendar for next year's show, January 23, 2009!!!
