New Clubman in the Family! (Sorta) ;)

Postby Luckiee's Son » Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:02 am

My mom just got an email from our very close friends that said that her parents just got a MINI Clubman! She said that they absolutley LOVE it! So, we hope that our friends (the MINI owners daughter) can borrow it for a run and see what it's like! :) I asked my friend, (their daughter, it's her grandpa and grandma that just got it) if her Grandparents are fun, outgoing people. She said definatey yes! So, I'm gonna get them to join. :) Yay! :D

Actually, that is not so. I have met some GRUMPY MINI Owners. (Dee!) JK       But I really have seen some people w/ a MINI on the streets that aren't that friendly... :( :)

Some new MINI drivers not that friendly!

Postby MNIBMR » Fri Dec 19, 2008 6:54 am

Tate, I know what you mean about some MINI drivers being grumpy! It seems those of us who bought our MINI's because we love the little munchkins are a different breed from those who purchased them because of the decent gas mileage. I have noticed a lot more MINI's on the road in the past year where the drivers don't wave when I wave at them! I stopped waving because I've found a lot of new MINI owners are not enthusiasts, they just seem to be people driving a small car to save some on gas

To some it's just a car, so sad.

Some time back I had to laugh at my 85 year old mom.

We were pulling into a parking space and at the exact same time a MINI was pulling into the space directly across from us, so we were facing each other. The lady driving the other MINI was probably in her late 50's, and she didn't react, wave or even smile. My mom said, and I quote "The crazy old lady probably doesn't even know she's driving a MINI".

 I love your Mom! She hit the nail on the head - even though the woman was 30 years younger than your Mom, I would have called her a crazy old lady, too! haha! I always say "you don't deserve to drive that car" when people don't wave!!!
