Now that you mention steering feel in the R56 - it makes sense to use the Alta unit.

The steering was very vague feeling in a R56 I test drove after hopping out of the R53. Most Americans like that - it feels safer to them.

Not going to argue with that Dee, but you'll find that a good majority of vehicles that have very little seat bolstering, overly boosted and numb steering all come from the USA. Have you seen the JCW (R53) seats for the UK mini? N/A for America ;-) Image

yea... we got screwed on that with the GPs in the U.S. I sat in those seats at a Munich dealership a while back,,, probably one of the most comferable seats I have ever sat in... Wanted to buy them and have them shipped, but couldnt justify the 3k..
