DRP - Golf Tournament?

Postby Gottoon » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:56 pm

I keep hearing about people wanting to have a golf tournament.

The question is how many would like to participate in such an event? The number of players will greatly effect how we move forward with planning.

Who wants to help with the planning to get this idea developed and finalized?

As many of you know, I work for a company that provides Golf course GPS and tournament management solutions and I have several courses here in AZ where we may be able to take advantage this wonderful technology. Here are few of my local clients we may be able to work with.

Club West Golf Club
Las Sendas Golf Club
Orange Tree Golf Resort
Arizona Grand
Coyote Lakes
Arizona Golf Resort
Foothills Golf Club
Superstition Springs
Legend at Arrowhead
Kokopelli
Stonecreek

Normally I'd be up for it, but my wrists are months away from being capable of real golf... not that I'm any good to begin with, but I shoot my 100 and drink a couple beers, and I'm good afterward... hehe.

So if its later in the year I'm definitely in.

Yeah, a best-ball type scramble i think is a lot of fun for this type of thing. So if you have a foursome, each of you tee off, but you can use the best drive of your group on the hole and you just have to use each persons drive within your group twice or something like that during the round.

I'm liking that idea, except the part where we all will have to use one or two of my drives.
