Its Randy Smalley's. ( His daughter usually drives it I believe ) Nice car from a family of racing.

Though they are probably at or on the way to Miller Motorsports Park for the final race of the series this weekend.

ahhh yes...I just figured that out when I put 2 and 2 together, after having a drink

I was with Jan yesterday as he was tuning Bob Smalley's red MCS, along with all the other race cars for this weekend.

My original question was what IC it had on it, but I see it's a Gintani W2A.

Really playing with the idea of giving up the R56 (royally annoyed with mine) for a GP...I can't believe how low mileage this one is.

Funny how often we hear this... I have an R56, as well, and have had more than my fair share of problems with it. :?

It just never works as well as it should. They are so finicky...at least mine is.

I like to modify my cars...and the R56 is just proving to be a giant frustration. I don't even have a tune on it right now, and went back to the stock intake as well, and it's still running like crap. Can't accelerate without it stuttering and pinging. Not a very comforting noise when your warranty is ending in 7k miles. And trying to get mini to look at it is next to impossible unless the motor blows entirely or you come in with a CEL showing.

After 2 years now, I just want my R53 back. Think a GP would look good on me....

Interesting you mention that... give me 5 minutes and I'll send you a PM.

Michelle, I got your PM, but can't respond....

But yep, what you explained was a very familiar story....all over the country. And most of the times its not even the dealers fault, its MINI USA. My dad is very high up at Penske, and everyone at MNS knows me very well. Even with that I have trouble getting them to look at my car unless it's in dire need of help.....so don't feel bad haha. BMW/MINI is refusing to pay for a lot of the issues on these damn cars unless they completely break....so the dealer gets stuck footing the bill for a lot of warranty repairs.

These issues are rampant across the entire country, and the response is always the same. I'm really getting sick of it.

Between the engine problem, the fuel pump replacement, and having the turbo replaced when the car was under 2 years old.... yeah, I feel your pain. :(

Are the turbo cars really that shitty ? I guess I should be satisfied with my GP. I am looking for a convertible with the old engine ( supercharged ) . Can't seem to find a low mileage, automatic that is not overpriced.
