Dropped the engine gearbox into the subframe last night
Going to get some Honda gearbox oil today
It's faster to put the oil in with the subframe out
But I don't have to but I'll be bolting it up tonight
Car will be a roller tonight

when the engine was 1st built, it was tuned for 175hp at the fly and put down 145hp to the wheel
the engine was tune at
http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/when I get a retune I need to get bigger injector, probably next summer or something like that
and now that its broken in, I can have it tuned to be a little more aggressive and pull a few more hp out of it,
it should be knocking on the door of 190-200 fly hp
but if I could get it to put down 150 to the wheel that would be awesome
I want to get some stock rdx injectors 410cc
stock injectors I have are 235cc @41psi
im running them at 55 or 60psi, I cant remember off the top of my head

and installed the new tall rebound buffers
the stock black lhd mini has had a few upgrades done to it now
new rebound buffers, minitastic race coils with hi-lo's and lowered gaz adjustable shocks up front
and minitastic fast road coils with hi-lo's and lowered gaz adjustable shocks in the rear
and new steering tie rods up front
and one classic bucket seat with head rests
and this weekend im going to drop down the column some

Got the engine running today
Hooked the intake temp sensor to the idle air control wire and burnt up the sensor
So I went and got another one from autozone for $22 bucks
Hooked up the sensor to the correct wire and it's running better now

I went to American hose and rubber and had some new fittings put on my front brakes lines
-4AN straight on one end and 90deg on the other end
so tonight after work I will install them and bleed the brakes out
im getting the car ready to go take it for its inspection, i'll probably do that next Wednesday, I need to make an appointment for it
im thinking about getting a special plate for the car as well
I know I will have to pay more but im thinking about getting my UK plate number put onto my AZ plates

my car doesn't clear the steep drop at the curb at the end of my driveway,
my exhaust hit the ground and it left a nice grinding mark and also popped the gearbox out of gear
the goal for this project was to make the exhaust tuck up higher into the tunnel
the exhaust can't tuck up higher because the shifter was in the way,
so lift the shifter to lift the exhaust, sounds simple, lol I wish
so last weekend I went and got a 10 pack of cut off wheels and some sheet metal and went to town
I lifted the shifter floor 2.5inches
most of the floor lift was made in the shifter hole area
and I had to make some adjustments to the floor around the park brake handle, because I needed room
for the handle to go down to the lowest spot and my hand be able to fit as well
so about 20inches of the tunnel were cut and lifted, the highest point being 2.5inches and the lowest being 1/8 in
im done welding on the floor, took about 5-6 hours to cut the floor and re-make it
I have the top side of the floor cleaned up and primed,
i will go to napa this afternoon and pick up some seam sealer to seal the top side and the bottom side
i have to pull the old exhaust system out to cut up ones again
i need to paint the underside of the tunnel
install the shifter and re-make the shifter rods
and then i can begin to re-make the exhaust
i have 18inches of 2.5in pipe

the floor has been seam sealed and painted and dynamat extreme
and new shift rods had to be made, cut and welded up and whatnot
shifter is mounted in the car now
and I mocked up the exhaust last night and will probably finish the welding on the exhaust tonight and get it mounted back in the car

the exhaust is fitted to the car now
I need to adjust the balance bar
a bicycle was knocked over into my car tonight and it cracked my right side mk2 tail light lens
so I plan to get some clear rtv or some 2 part epoxy and seal it from the inside
and then replace it
they are $47.50 each from 7 ent mini
I still need to search around to see if I can get it for a better price
my time frame is still on time for taking the car to the dmv on Monday to get some AZ plates for it
edit: looks like gb car parts has a used tail light lens for $19
