sounds like fun
but my lhd mini is more of a rat, its pretty ruff around the edges(rust in a few spots)
but I guess it would be different to have something that needs a little work
ive been slowly working on this car
last night I got the hazards and dome light working
the rear fog light is busted, so I need to order one of those, and the fuse holder is missing to power it, I got that but will install it this weekend
the fuel sender don't work, but I think its because the plastic float is busted

You don't have to have restored pristine car to be a part of the show, we are all about having fun and sharing. We have had some pretty rough cars show up in the past. My mini needs a paint job, and honestly I don't think it will get done before the show, so I have a bit of rust in an A panel, and peeling paint. lol

well, update on the car
had to adjust the v-belt for the alt, the lower bolt is rusted and I will have to take a cut off wheel to it, but for now
I was able to use a hammer to slide the bracket out, the v-belt is good, no more sound coming from that
the fuel tank neck had about 12 pin holes in it, the inside of the car had the fuel smell to it,
since I don't have my welder right now, and I have about 1/2 tank of fuel,
I used some jb weld to seal the neck up
the tank only leaked when it was filled all the way up
I left my windows closed at work today and then checked it at lunch time and no fuel smell,
so far the jb weld is working to seal it up
I pulled the fuel sender out of the tank a few weeks ago, and the arm that moves up and down was rusted in the up spot,
so I was able to work it and now that works, kind of
empty on the cluster has about 1/4 tank of fuel,
so im going to run it down again and bent the arm down to get it a little closer of a reading
I wired up the rear fog light, it works now, just need to get a new one, but its not really a big deal
and ive been messing around with the carb some, it was running super rich, could smell the raw fuel,
so ive been leaning the mixture out,
I have the mixture right before it starts to have the lean pop in the exhaust, and idles around 850-950 rpm
I plan to stick it an afr gauge in the tail pipe just to see about what the mixture is like
don't want it to be so rich that its wasting down the cylinders but not so lean that it has no power

I'm not sure if my car will make the show, I will show up anyways
Today the heater fitting broke, i could hear the pressure venting and then I moved the hose and the fitting connection the two together is done
And half the fitting is stuck into the lower radiator hose, so I have to let the engine down more and then try to get the fitting out
Or else I have to order a new lower hose

Ordered a new lower hose from 7 net today
Wish their was a place in town that I could order parts from but oh well
Also, I saw a sweet yellow woody estate on 10 inch wheels on the way home from work
I did a temp repair on the hose but it didn't hold and it leaked

looking for info to decode a non-uk mini
The vin plate reads B38/8-959954
I think the B38/8 means Italian built, pretty sure its a innocent 1000 or 1001, non cooper but
I don't really know
this car is kind of built from different parts over the yr, changed out a few things here and their to keep it on the road

I don't know much about the decoding stuff. When I can I buy some of my Mini stuff from Ernies British Car Service 1121 W. Wetmore Road, Tucson, AZ 85705.

not yet,
im taking it slow,
I made a few mods to the subframe so that I can drop it down more
I picked up the paint to re-paint the subframe 2 days ago,
I plan to paint it tonight
and if my hips are up to it, drop the vtec into the subframe this weekend
