I still haven't took the car to the mvd,
The coils on the coilover are starting to set and now the coil is rubbing on the inner side wall tires up front
So I need to space it or re make the mounts
I probably won't take the car to mvd till next yr
I'm going to have surgery on my hips for torn labrums

I upgraded the stereo in the garage,
ready to work on my mini's and rock out At the same time
2500watts for the subs and 1400watts for the tops
The subs are 18's and the tops are 18's with horns

Joaquinn, I was unpacking back issues of Mini Magazine and came across a 3 page story on your Mini build in the April 2013 issue. COOL! :D

Started some glass work on the front clip

I'm making the wheel wells lower and opening them a bit
So the front clip will clear the tires a little bit better when turning the wheels left or right

1st I started out with a card board cut off and the. Transferred it to some sheet metal

Next I screwed and glued the sheet metal to the inside of the front clip

Ones the glue dried I welded up the lip I put on the sheet metal

After that I started to fiberglass
So far I have 3 layers

And then the fun part came, body work
Aka sanding like crazy

It's starting to take shape and I'm pretty happy with the out come

I had a small space heater close to the left side,
right side came out good but the left side im not happy with

im going to sand down the left side and re-do it

Edit:
I have it sanded down but I don't think I will have time
To paint it again before I leave to San Diego
I have to get more plastic for over spray to cover the car
I'm having hip surgery next Thursday in San Diego, so
I'll end up waiting to march to repaint, and the weather
Should be alittle better by then

When I come back from San Diego, my dad and I are going to tow
Back my next project, used to belong to my grandpa,
A 1937 Chevy truck, powered by a 2002 5.3/4L60e out of a Yukon
It still needs a ton of work but it's the fun of working on vehicles that I like

I picked this 2000 s10 blazer front clip up for free in phx a few days ago

I'm planning a 2x3 3/16 frame from the front suspension to the rear of the cab and then box in the rear part of the truck frame

I plan on doing a tri 2 link in the rear with super joints and a really long pan hard bar

I ordered up some vw bug brake remote reservoirs because the wilwood ones suck
They leak all the damn time

Besides that, I've been working on the 37 like crazy

It has a few rust spots on the shell

Time to take a break and come up to Catalina. I need a good panel beater to give me some ideas on getting the Moke squared away. Oh, and great work on the Mini. What color is that? hard to tell from the lighting.

It's a cream or a almond white

It's pretty close to the off white color that is used on the new mini's

But it's a little different and that's what I was going for

I had this thing in od green back in 2012
And deployed and when I got back I saw a bunch of classic mini's
In the UK that were the same color, so I painted it this color in 2013

I just wanted my car to look different from every other classic mini
